Yes – our lockers require your own padlock to secure your belongings. Padlocks are also available to purchase at the pool reception.

Yes! Dogs are very welcome on our terrace and in our dockside domes. Unfortunately waggy tails aren’t allowed in the pool.

Yes. All guests are required to shower before entering the sauna to help maintain a clean, comfortable and hygienic environment for everyone. Guests using the sauna after swimming in the pool or dock must use the outdoor showers before entering.

The pool is primarily an open water swimming pool, with six lanes designed for swimmers of all abilities to train, build confidence and enjoy being in the water. However, there will also be sessions designed with relaxation and socialising in mind. Details of the different swim sessions and experiences currently available can be found here.

Yes. In addition to unlimited pool swimming, all memberships include unlimited access to our weekly programme of fully lifeguarded open water swimming sessions in the wider dock.

For pool and sauna guests, toilet facilities are provided within individual private cubicles with lockable doors for privacy. In the main social, food and drink area, separate female, male and accessible toilets are provided, each accessed via its own dedicated entrance.

All guests enter the pool reception and changing area together, but changing, showering and toilet facilities are all provided in individual private cubicles with lockable doors.

Yes. Our saunas are mixed gender and open to all guests. Sea Lanes is a welcoming space for people of all gender identities and expressions to enjoy together.

The pool is 50 metres long by 12 metres wide with a depth of 1.3m. It has six lanes.

Sea Lanes will honour valid vouchers and credits from the previous operator. We’re currently shaping the next steps and will share further details soon on how these can be redeemed and what this will look like under the Sea Lanes programme. We look forward to welcoming both existing and new swimmers to the community.

You can purchase individual sessions without a membership. 

Open water swimming sessions in the wider dock will be free for Sea Lanes members. 

Sea Lanes will offer a broad open water programme within Eden Dock, including open swimming, paddleboarding, freediving, surf fit sessions with plans to bring scuba activity during the winter months. We will be sharing more soon.

Yes. Lifeguards and on-site staff are available to assist guests who may need support accessing the pool or dock water.

Yes. Oxford Dipper hoists are available to support wheelchair users accessing both the pool and the dock water.

Yes. Ramp access is available into the pool. Some wheelchair users may require assistance entering or exiting the water. Lifeguards will be available to support.

Yes. The saunas have level thresholds and are wheelchair accessible.

Yes. Accessible toilet facilities are available on site, including a dedicated accessible WC and an accessible changing room within the changing facilities building.

Yes. Public access to the site is via the south ramp and the main plaza area is level. Step-free routes are available throughout key public areas of the site.

Please complete a membership cancellation form to initiate the process of terminating your membership.

A swim session covers a one-hour slot. If the pool is not at full capacity when your session ends, you are welcome to continue swimming. There is no need to book consecutive sessions.

No. Membership runs all year, as the pool remains open throughout the year.

The pool is filled with dock water rather than chemically treated or chlorinated pool water. As a result, the water has a natural green tint, which is completely normal in a natural water environment. The water is intentionally left untreated to support aquatic life and provide a true open water swimming experience. Eden Dock is separate from the River Thames and is rated “Excellent” under EU Bathing Water Standards, with water quality regularly monitored and tested.

Duck mites (also known as swimmer’s itch) are microscopic organisms that can occasionally be found in natural outdoor swimming environments. In some people, they can cause a harmless skin irritation after swimming.

Wearing a wetsuit may help reduce the likelihood of irritation by limiting direct skin exposure to the water. We recommend showering immediately after your swim, particularly before using the sauna using the outdoor showers, and towel drying vigorously and thoroughly, as this can help reduce the likelihood of irritation.

The saunas will be heated by 100% renewable electricity.

A full ecology report has been completed and the design for the pool and supporting health and wellbeing provisions has taken the feedback into consideration. There will be sensitive pool lighting designed to minimise artificial light spill to the surface of the dock and below the water. The geo-tec membrane which forms the pool walls will allow continuous water exchange with the dock maintaining water quality, while preventing fish and eels from entering the water and becoming trapped. The pool design includes gently vegetated shelves at key locations to provide accessible escape routes for the birds.

Eden Dock is independent from the River Thames. The water quality in the dock is rated “Excellent” by EU Bathing Standards.

The pool will provide a stepping stone into the dock giving swimmers of all abilities the opportunity to gain confidence in the water before venturing into the dock for open water swimming.

Yes. There will be a regular timetable of training and events, including free weekly coaching sessions for members.

Yes, this will be part of Sea Lanes Canary Wharf once open.

The pool will be fully lifeguarded, open all year round, and welcomes swimmers of all abilities.

Yes. Wetsuits will be available to hire or purchase. Members who already own a wetsuit can also use our wetsuit concierge service, which ensures it is washed and dried ready for their next visit.

There will be hot showers and changing spaces for all swimmers, including accessible changing facilities.

Both options are available. You can join as a member or book individual pay-per-swim sessions.

Yes the pool is family friendly, but it is designed to be a training pool for lane swimming.

Sea Lanes Canary Wharf is designed for lane swimming, training and building confidence in open water.

• All children must be confident swimmers and able to swim at least 50m unaided.
• Children aged 8-12 must be accompanied in the water by a responsible adult at all times.
• Children aged 12-16 may swim independently, but a responsible adult must remain onsite throughout their session.
• Children under 8 years old are not permitted to swim.
• Please note that the pool is unheated and all swimmers should be comfortable swimming in cooler water temperatures.
